2021 Página Touriga Nacional rosé

Página red is produced from the Touriga Nacional grape variety, grown in a 0.92-hectare vineyard in the Óbidos appellation. The production process places a strong emphasis on environmental and health considerations, with grapes sourced from vineyards certified under Integrated Production standards, creating a selected and concentrated blend. It has an intense ruby colour, a brilliant appearance, and elegant, defined aromas of small berries, with balsamic vegetal notes, hints of dark chocolate, and slight oak toast. On the palate, it is balanced, with vibrant acidity, harmonious, well-integrated tannins, and an elegant finish, with intensity, freshness, and good volume.

The Quinta do Porto Nogueira was founded in 1738, during the first half of the 18th century, and remained in the same family until the second half of the 20th century. The current owners acquired it at the start of this century. The property’s 20-hectare vineyard is planted in clay soils, influenced by the natural microclimate of the Serra de Todo-o-Mundo foothills, and is located about 20 km from the Atlantic Ocean. This unirrigated vineyard exhibits unique characteristics, unmatched freshness, and a natural salinity, marking its wines with distinctiveness.
