2021 Pian delle Vigne Brunello di Montalcino red

The Pian delle Vigne Brunello di Montalcino 2021 is an elegant and refined expression of the Sangiovese grape variety, aged in large casks that preserve the purity of the fruit and the characteristic freshness of this great Tuscan wine. It displays an intense ruby colour and a delicate bouquet, with notes of loquat, yellow blossoms and blood orange, intertwined with subtle balsamic hints of menthol and tobacco. On the palate, it is fresh, harmonious and supple, with expressive red fruit, refined tannins and a long, persistent finish marked by delicate spice notes.

The Antinori family has been dedicated to wine production for over six hundred years. Since then, in 1385, Giovanni di Piero Antinori became a member of the Arte Fiorentina dei Vinattieri. Throughout its long history, spanning 26 generations, the family has always managed this activity directly, making innovative and sometimes brave choices, but always maintaining unchanged respect for tradition and territory.

Tenuta Pian delle Vigne is located 6 km southwest of Montalcino. The estate consists of 184 hectares, 65 of which are vineyards and represents the personal and profound interpretation of the Marchesi Antinori, mirrored in a wine as prestigious and traditional as Brunello. The estate has been owned by the Antinori Family since 1995, the year of the first vintage of Brunello Pian delle Vigne.
