2021 Solaia red
Description
Tenuta Tignanello is located in the heart of Chianti Classico, on the hills between the Greve and Pesa valleys, covering a total area of 319 hectares of land, of which about 130 hectares are vineyards. Among its vineyards are two treasures: the Tignanello vineyard and the Solaia vineyard, which lie on the same hillside, on soils derived from the Pliocene marl with limestone and schist, giving rise to wines with profiles capable of initiating what is called the renaissance of Italian wine.
The Antinori family has been dedicated to wine production for over six hundredyears. Since then, in 1385, Giovanni di Piero Antinori became a member of the Arte Fiorentina dei Vinattieri. Throughout its long history, spanning 26 generations, the family has always managed this activity directly, making innovative and sometimes brave choices, but always maintaining an unchanged respect for tradition and territory.
