Description

Alcambar red is produced from the Marufo, Bastardo, Rufete, Jaen and Tinta Amarela grape varieties, and is ruby in colour, with a youthful aroma and fresh red fruit. On the palate, freshness and soft tannins predominate, revealing a balanced and elegant finish.

The Adega do Fundão was founded in 1949 by 30 winegrowers from the Beira Interior region and is located in Cova da Beira, an area where vines are grown dating back to the 2nd century and the Roman settlements of that time.

The vineyards are planted along the Serra da Gardunha, which allows for the production of grapes that give the wines a richness, freshness and exuberance that is unrivalled.
