2022 Casa Santos Lima Al-Ria Negra Mole red

A rosé red wine created from a careful selection of the best grapes from the Negra Mole variety. Its complex aromatic profile reveals floral and cherry notes. On the palate it has a deep flavour, full of fruit, with great elegance and freshness.

Casa Santos Lima is currently pursuing a plan to expand into other wine-growing regions of Portugal with the aim of diversifying its portfolio of Portuguese wines, and has decided to invest in the Algarve region, more specifically in the Tavira Demarcated Region, one of Portugal's regions with the greatest international visibility and excellent aptitude for producing quality wines.

Casa Santos Lima, based in the municipality of Alenquer, was founded in 1991 to continue the Santos Lima family's wine-growing activity, which was started at the turn of the 19th century by Joaquim Santos Lima, at the time one of the largest producers and exporters of Portuguese wines. In 1996 they began bottling their wines, which until then had been sold in bulk. Today, with more than 200 hectares of vineyards, Casa Santos Lima is the main producer in the Lisbon region, accounting for more than 30 per cent of the region's certified wine. With a strong commitment to internationalisation, Casa Santos Lima, one of the biggest drivers of wine exports, exports over 90% of the wines it sells to approximately 40 markets.
