2022 Castelo de Azurara Encruzado Grande Reserva white
Description
Produced from the Encruzado grape variety, it presents a straw-yellow colour with floral and spice notes. On the palate, it reveals a mineral, fresh, and persistent profile.
The Mangualde Cooperative Winery was established in the 1960s, a period marked by the promotion, expansion, and implementation of the cooperative spirit and values in Portugal. Castelo de Azurara embodies the historical identity of the region linked to its monumental heritage, combining the medieval name of the town – Azurara da Beira – with one of the region’s iconic symbols, Our Lady of the Castle. Thus, this cooperative’s wine brand was born.
