2022 Esporão Reserva organic red

Esporão Reserva is an organic red wine made from estate-grown vineyards over 20 years old, located in the heart of the Alentejo. Crafted from traditional regional grape varieties, it aged for 12 months in oak barrels, gaining structure, elegance, and complexity.

Intense ruby in colour, it is a rich and intense, yet harmonious wine. The deep, complex aroma is dominated by red fruit and hints of spice. On the palate, it's lively, with fine, vibrant tannins, where red fruit and spices once again predominate, in a balanced, persistent finish. It's a red wine that authentically expresses the character of the Alentejo terroir and the commitment to sustainable viticulture.

The Esporão company was born in the Alentejo from the unconditional will to make the best wines. This motivation is the legacy of all their wines produced and the main reason they have extended the range to other products and territories.

Herdade do Esporão, located in the heart of the Alentejo, in Reguengos de Monsaraz, has unique conditions for agriculture - large temperature ranges, poor and varied soils and an extraordinary biodiversity that helps to produce in balance with the environment. With about 702 hectares of vineyards, olive groves and other crops enhanced by the Organic Production Mode, it currently includes about 40 grape varieties, 4 varieties of olives, orchards and vegetable gardens.
