Description

Foral de Évora is a white wine that pays tribute to the region’s long winemaking tradition, evoking the charter granted to the city by King Manuel I in 1501 while expressing the identity of Évora’s terroir.

Pale straw-green in colour, it displays an elegant and discreet nose of white fruit, citrus, dried herbs and mineral nuances of flint and struck match. Full-bodied and well structured on the palate, with ripe fruit and balanced acidity, it finishes long with a distinctive vegetal character.

Cartuxa is a wine producer associated with the Eugénio de Almeida Foundation, established in 1963 with a mission to promote cultural, social and educational development in the Évora region. The production of wines and olive oils by the Adega and Lagar Cartuxa provides the financial basis for these initiatives, combining agricultural tradition with a strong commitment to social responsibility.
