Description

Jorge is the 5th generation of a long lineage of wine producers and cellar owners. In 2009, Sandra and Jorge acquired Quinta da Manoella, a property with a history dating back to 1838.

The vineyards of Quinta da Manoella are over a hundred years old, flanked on both sides by younger vineyards, and are capable of producing wines with remarkable freshness and delicacy, as well as a concentration that quickly establishes them as some of the finest wines from the Douro.

Founded in 2001 by the couple of winemakers Sandra Tavares da Silva and Jorge Serôdio Borges, the company Wine & Soul has invested in and acquired old vineyards and properties in the Pinhão River valley.

The couple’s goal is to create wines that express the full character of the old vines and indigenous grape varieties of the Douro, seeking a balance between concentration, complexity, and elegance.
