2022 Molares Alvarinho & Trajadura white

Produced from the Alvarinho and Trajadura grape varieties, this white wine perfectly expresses the freshness and elegance of the region. With a vibrant citrine colour, it presents a delicately floral aroma with captivating fruity notes. On the palate, it is harmonious and persistent, with a balanced acidity that enhances its liveliness. Sourced from schistous soils at 200 metres of altitude, this wine reflects the authenticity of its terroir, offering a refreshing and captivating experience.

It was from 1700, that the Meireles Family started to cultivate grapes and produce wine in Celorico de Basto, a municipality located in the Province of Minho, northern region of Portugal. In 1980, Gonçalo Cristovam Meireles Dias, married to D. Angela Maria Meireles Dias, took over Quinta da Cerca, one of the beautiful properties of the Meireles Family. From this time onwards, they began to invest in the expansion of wine production in the Vinho Verde region, building a new winery with a greater capacity for wine production. Today, Adega Molares owns an area of approximately 50 hectares, producing red, white, and rosé wines.
