Description

Quinta da Pacheca Reserva white wine is made from grapes from various vineyard plots planted at an altitude of 450 metres. The aroma is delicate, with notes of pineapple, lychee and toasted nuances from the well-integrated wood. Medium-bodied, it is very balanced, with good acidity, which gives it freshness and minerality, with a long and persistent finish.

Quinta da Pacheca, one of the best-known properties in the Douro, stands out for being one of the first to bottle its own-brand wines.

The name of this estate has been referenced since the 17th April 1738, when in a dated document appears for the first time the reference to Quinta "da Pacheca", due to its owner D. Mariana Pacheco Pereira. But it was only in 1903 that D. José Freire de Serpa Pimentel decided to develop his growing interest in oenology, buying the property to dedicate himself to wine production.

Today, a century later, the new Serpa Pimentel generation takes over the management of the Quinta: Maria, Catarina, and José are the young faces of this distinctly family-oriented company.
