2022 Vale da Capucha Fossil red
Description
Vale da Capucha, rooted in a legacy of wine producers and merchants dating back to 1858, underwent a profound transformation in 2006, when all existing vineyards were uprooted and predominantly replanted with Portuguese white grape varieties. Located just 10 km from the coast and strongly influenced by the Atlantic, its fossil-rich clay-limestone soils of oceanic origin, combined with low diurnal temperature variation that allows for slow ripening, shape a distinctive terroir, ideally suited to the production of premium wines.
