2023 Herdade Papa Leite Pacto do Diabo white
Description
The Herdade Papa Leite Pacto do Diabo white is crafted from a harmonious blend of Moscatel, Chenin Blanc and Viognier, bringing together the aromatic freshness and expressiveness of these three varieties. With its pale straw colour, it reveals a subtle mineral character, enriched by notes of honey and ripe pear that add delicacy and depth.
On the palate, Pacto do Diabo white is balanced and enveloping, offering a persistent density that mirrors the aromas found on the nose. An elegant, precise white wine with plenty of character.
The Papa Leite Estate, located in Alter do Chão, in the heart of the Alto Alentejo, dates back to the 17th century and even today, one can still find traces of that time. After many families passed through there, it was Filipe Barreiros Cardoso who, in love with the property, acquired it, making an old dream of producing high-quality products come true with the support of his family and team. Thus the estate was expanded and revitalised, now boasting 320 hectares extended to the production of wine, olive oil, and cattle. The vines are planted in clay soils and the grapes are harvested at night and selected before entering the winery, where the production of wine with the best raw material is guaranteed.
