This Quinta do Covão was made from the Encruzado grape variety and has aromas of white fruits with floral and mineral notes. On the palate, it has balanced acidity and is a wine with structure and some volume, with a persistent finish, very mineral and revealing salty notes.
The Quinta do Covão is set in the landscapes of the Serra da Estrela Natural Park, in Sandomil, close to the riverbed of the River Alva. With 50 hectares, the property is in perfect balance with the surrounding landscape and has been dedicated for three generations to the production of wine, characterised by its unique identity, conferred by the Dão region.
