Description

The Quinta das Queimas Alfrocheiro showcases the true character of one of the Dão's most distinctive grape varieties. Sourced from the Quinta Grande vineyard and traditionally vinified with foot treading in granite lagares, it was aged for 11 months in stainless steel to preserve the purity of the fruit and the varietal's expression. Elegant and well-balanced, it stands out for its freshness, structure and authenticity.

The estate that gives its name to the project, Quinta das Queimas, is one of the family's oldest and most beautiful vineyards. Located on the south-eastern bank of the Dinha River, with a west-facing slope and partially enclosed by an ancient stone wall, this vineyard is home to an extensive area of vines planted in the late 1920s.

The combination of granite and sandy soils provides exceptional conditions for vine growing, shaping the unique character of the vineyard and the wines produced from it. The result is a true expression of its origin, reflecting both the history and distinctive terroir of this remarkable site.
