2024 Terras de Mogadouro white
Description
Produced from Viosinho and Gouveio grape varieties from vineyards planted between 600 and 800 metres above sea level on granite and schist soils, it is characterised by its intense and complex aroma. On the nose, the floral and white-fleshed fruit notes stand out, and in the mouth it reveals a marked acidity in balance with the fruity profile.
The Wine Indigenus project, led by Cristiano Pires, was born in the demarcated region of Trás-os-Montes, in the sub-region of Planalto Mirandês, where the history of vine planting and wine production, although forgotten in time, has secular origins dating back to Roman and pre-Roman times.
Today, Cristiano has the support of Rute Gonçalves and Francisco Gonçalves, producing Terras de Mogadouro wines from the 50 hectares already acquired. Allied to the oenological knowledge and passion for wine that unites these young entrepreneurs is also the technology and equipment that the winery has at its disposal to produce differentiated, structured and elegant wines.
