Description

Produced from a selection of very ripe fruit, with a unique blend of aromas from the Torres Novas county region. Its elaboration begins with a simple fermentation process, followed by maceration and subsequent distillation in wood-fired stills.

This is a slow process, which with the inconsistency of the flame, allows extracting an excellent distillate, rich in blueberry aroma, smooth and completely crystalline.

Bagas do Almonda is the continuation of the experimental field work started in 2013 with the aim of observing the behaviour of various blueberry cultivars, in the characteristic microclimate of the municipality of Torres Novas. From this study resulted a fruit with surprising quality, aroma and calibres. An artisanal distillery was created in February 2020 in order to make the most of the fruit's potential.

Bagas do Almonda is an entrepreneurial project made by someone who has always loved the countryside, nature and the connection to the land, dedicating itself to the production of fresh blueberries and two unique spirits, blueberry and black fig.
