Vines are considered "old vines" in Europe if they are over 40 years old and, as normally, reflect the region's native grape varieties.
As the years go by, the vines produce less and less, which for winemakers is a strong point for increasing the quality of the grapes and, consequently, the wine. The resulting wines are aromatically complex, and seductive which elevates the tasting.
