Valdespino Malt Sherry Cask is a whisky made in Jerez, Spain, and produced by one of the most important distilleries, Valdespino. The idea of making a whisky comes after three decades of exporting Sherry barrels to whisky-producing distilleries in Scotland. After realizing the potential of these barrels for whisky, they decided to keep a small batch and age it through Solera in its cellars, which until 2016 was only for private consumption by the family. Aged for 15 years in centenary barrels of the most prestigious soleras of Valdespino. It presents intense notes of caramel and honey along with nuances of crushed nuts, citrus peels and black pepper.
