Description

The most famous wine of the Louis Roederer House was created in 1876 to satisfy the discerning tastes of Czar Alexander II. The emperor asked Louis Roederer to reserve each year the best cuvée of the House for him. He was particularly fond of the House wine. To make it possible to distinguish the best cuvée, Louis bottled the champagne in differently shaped, transparent bottles. Thus was born the name Cristal and the brand, which to this day, does justice to its quality.

Based on this legacy, Cristal white is produced, exclusively, in the best harvest years, when the grapes of Chardonnay (about 40%) and Pinot noir (about 60%) reach perfect ripeness. To complete its fineness, Cristal is aged for 6 years in Louis Roederer cellars and left for a further 8 months after the dégorgement process. In this way, it presents itself remarkably balanced and refined, whose length is inimitable. It has a silky texture and fruity aromas, complemented by a powerful mineral quality with notes of white fruit and citrus.
