Description

The Château Pape Clément is one of the oldest Grands Crus in the Bordeaux region. The first production dates back to 1252. The name of this property came about when Bertrand de Goth, the youngest of a noble family of the region and Archbishop of Bordeaux, became Pope in 1305 under the name of Clement V.

By reconciling the richest traditions with advanced techniques, Château Pape Clément wines are developed under a demanding philosophy. Through arduous work in an exceptional terroir, the wines are a reflection of the quality of French wines.

The estate is located in Péssac, a few kilometres from Bordeaux and its vineyards extend over 155 acres, planted on sandy gravel and clay-limestone soils.
