Description

Very little is left to say or write about one that is the best known and coveted of all producers of Burgundy and the world. The history of the Domaine is intertwined with the history of one's Côte de Nuits, crossing eras and fashions to get to today. The Societé Civile du Domaine de la Romanée Conti (DRC) is run by two families, Leroy and Villaine, represented respectively by Henry-Frederic Roch, nephew of Madame Lalou Bize-Leroy and Aubert de Villaine. The wines are absolutely brilliant in its purity, precision and lightness. These are wines with great aging potential, reaching some even needing a good ten years in the basement to show all its glory.
