Casa Santos Lima, with its headquarters in the municipality of Alenquer, was founded in 1991 to give continuity to the winegrowing activity of the Santos Lima family, started at the turn of the century by Joaquim Santos Lima, at the time one of the largest producers and exporters of Portuguese wines. In 1996, the bottling of its wines began, which until then had been sold in bulk.
Today, with more than 200 hectares of vineyard, Casa Santos Lima is the main producer in the Lisbon region, representing more than 30% of the certified wine in the region. With a strong bet on the internationalization of Casa Santos Lima, one of the greatest dynamizers of wine exportation, it exports more than 90% of the wines it commercializes to approximately 40 markets.
