The Afluente is an Alvarinho from a vineyard in Monção planted about 250 meters from the 2017 barrel fermented harvest and aged in the same barrels for 9 months followed by 9 months of bottle aging. It is particularly appealing for the restraint that reveals, without easy exuberance, delicate grapefruit notes alongside flint notes. Very serious and dry, almost serious, but endowed with great freshness and excellent acid balance, a firm and vibrant Alvarinho, which still needs a few more years of bottle to show all it's worth.
