Description

It is distilled four times with a selection of natural ingredients, which uses juniper, orange, lemon, coriander, liquorice, cinnamon, cassia, nutmeg, angelica, clove and cumin in its composition. The final product is clean, clear and bright, slightly sweet, fresh with herbal and citrus aromas. In the aroma, the juniper clearly stands out, while the presence of other mentioned spices and herbs is not missed.

In the late 19th century, in the heart of the Victorian era, the great British empire dominated the trade routes and most of the goods traffic between East and West. A dominance that was largely due to the discovery of new routes to India. The most important discovery at the time was the coastal town of Mombasa, opposite the island of Zanzibar, which, due to its strategic position, soon became the main port and trading centre for the whole of East Africa. And it was in this location that the Mombasa Club was founded in 1885 by the British. The Mombasa Club was an essential part of colonial life and became famous and popular as a leisure space, a meeting place, where its members held lively debates while enjoying a gin and tonic, which since that time a special gin was distilled and bottled for the exclusive consumption of members attending the club. It is this spirit that Gin Club Mombasa wants to create by recovering the recipe from that era.
