Description

Château Léoville Las Cases is one of the largest and oldest houses in Médoc. Its 97 hectares of vineyards are superbly situated on clay gravel soils with one of the most relevant parcels surrounded by a stone wall, which runs between the village of Saint-Julien and the famous Château Latour.

Pierre Jean, Adolphe and Gabriel de Las Cases were successive heirs of the estate until 1900 when Théophile Skawinski bought a stake in the property and became its manager. Léoville Las Cases has now been run by the same family since the late 19th century and is today represented by Jean-Hubert Delon, sole owner of the Château and owner of Château Potensac in Médoc and Château Nénin in Pomerol.
