Description

The House of Krug was established in Reims in 1843 by Joseph Krug, a visionary non-conformist with an uncompromising philosophy. Having understood that the very essence of Champagne is pleasure itself, his dream was to craft the best Champagne every year, regardless of the annual variations in the weather. By paying attention to the character of the vineyard, respecting the individuality of each parcel as well as its wine, he was able to build up an extensive library of reserve wines from different years, enabling Joseph Krug to produce champagne with a level of distinction. Thus, for some six generations, the dream has been perpetuated and his champagne admired.
