Dow's 40 years Port
Description
It's the result of a careful blending of wines aged for 40 years in oak casks. With a greenish auburn colour, it has notes of dried fruit, spices and honey. The palate is velvety, enveloping, complex and with a powerful finish. Ideal with sweet traditional desserts, cheeses and fruit.
For over two centuries the Dow's name has been referred to as one of the finest Port wines. Throughout the 20th and 21st centuries, the Symington generations have worked at Quinta do Bomfim and Quinta da Senhora da Ribeira, creating from these vineyards, superbly concentrated wines, intense and tannic when young, with ageing comes elegance and perfumed with aromas of violets and mint. The drier finish constitutes the distinctive brand image of the wines of this great Port company.
