The Dégorgement procedure was carried out in the year 2022. This process consists in freezing the neck of the bottle to remove the lees from the second fermentation of the wine in the bottle, according to the Traditional Method of sparkling wine production.
The Antinori family has been dedicated to wine production for over six hundredyears. Since then, in 1385, Giovanni di Piero Antinori became a member of the Arte Fiorentina dei Vinattieri. Throughout its long history, spanning 26 generations, the family has always managed this activity directly, making innovative and sometimes brave choices, but always maintaining an unchanged respect for tradition and territory.
Tenuta Montenisa is located in the heart of Franciacorta, just outside the village of Calino, the jewel in the crown of this sweet part of Italy, where ancient palaces, convents, abbeys and churches scattered across the green hills and swarthy valleys have witnessed centuries of history. Some say that "Franciacorta" originates from "Petite France", the affectionate name given to it by Charlemagne.
