  • Online Store - Who are the people behind Garrafeira Nacional?

    Garrafeira Nacional was founded in 1927. One of Portugal’s foremost specialists in wine and spirits. The company supplies exclusive fine wines to clients throughout the country from its Lisbon base, with a friendly staff providing vintage wines and liquors sourced from a variety of established growers, passionate winemakers and private cellars. A shop is also available online for the perusal of any wine-loving Web surfer.

  • Online Store – Why should I register in the Online Store?

Orders and Payments

  • Orders – How do I change/cancel an order already placed?

    In case you need to modify any information before the order’s dispatch, we ask that you contact us as soon as possible such that we can make the desired change. Orders may be cancelled when expressly stated by the client through one of the contacts from our Customer Care service, such that a suitable solution for both parties is found.

  • Orders – How to place an order in Garrafeira Nacional?

    You may place an order in our Online Store in a very simple process:
    1º - Add the desired products to the shopping cart;
    2º - Finalize your order by filling in all the required fields;
    3º - Make the payment, after it is received in our system your order will be process and dispatched. You will be notified when the order is confirmed and when the order is dispatched.
    Obs: Orders made online will not be processed until payment is received.

    Our online store supports payments via international bank transfer, credit card (PayPal) or MB WAY. In case you come by to check out our physical store in Lisbon, you can pay by cash, credit card or Multibanco ATM card.

Delivery and Returns

  • Returns - What should I do if my order arrives damaged?

    Upon delivery, you should carefully examine your item. If you notice that it is not in perfect conditions, please hand it back to the carrier and clearly state the reason for the return. Please note that online orders will be shipped only after we have successfully confirmed your payment.

  • Delivery - How long do orders take to reach their destination?

    An order placed in Garrafeira Nacional usually takes

    - 72 hours (working days) to Portugal mainland;
    - Approximately 15 working days to Madeira and Azores islands;
    - Between 4 to 7 working days for Peninsular Spain;
    - Between 6 to 9 working days for other European countries;
    - Approximately 15 working days for all other countries.

  • Delivery – How can I check my order status?

    After dispatch of your order you will be notified with the tracking number and the link where you can check the sending status. If you placed your order logged in you can track that order from the menu “My Account”.

    Wine and spirits orders placed in both Garrafeira Nacional's shop and online store can be sent to almost any location in the world.

  • Delivery - When will my order be sent?

    Orders placed in our Online Store will only be processed and sent after payment is done. Generally, dispatches are made no later than the following third business day, after the payment is received.

  • Delivery - How much do shipping costs amount to?

    Overall shipping costs for each order are worked out by adding handling costs to carrier costs. A flat rate of €2 is charged for the handling of each bottle. Carrier costs depend on the total weight and shipping address of your individual order. The final shipping cost will be automatically calculated for you when placing an order in the Garrafeira Nacional e-shop. Please note that free shipping is offered on all orders above €50 in mainland Portugal.

    1º - Add the desired products to the shopping cart;
    2º - Go into the shopping cart menu through "See and edit cart";
    3º - Fill in the fields of our simulator in "Simulate shipping cost" with Country, City and Postal Code of the shipping address;
    4º - Select the option ‘Shipping’’ which will calculate the shipping costs.

    Presently the following campaigns for free shipping can be applied:

    - For deliveries where the shipping address is in mainland Portugal over 50€.
    - For professionals with access to resale prices, with delivery in mainland Portugal and with a value of over 100€.
