The ginjinha is a liqueur made from the fermentation of sour cherry (a fruit similar to cherry), soaked in brandy. Then mixed sugar and cinnamon stick. It is a widely consumed liquor in Portugal (very famous in Lisbon, Obidos, Alcobaça and Algarve). It is traditional to say "with" or "without" to ask ginjinha, that is, if you want to drink with or without fruit in the cup!
