The Glenkinchie The Floral Treasure 2023 Special Release 27-year-old whisky is a limited edition from Diageo.
On the nose, it is very elegant and supremely delicate. The floral notes intertwine in an enveloping way. There is a lightness, but also hints of melted butter, warm apple compote and a suggestion of orange peel. When savoured, the creamy texture is pleasant. The European oak barrels provide some wood spice, with an intense caramel flavour, and slight ginger, crème brûlée and a touch of orange marmalade. The finish is medium long, with persistent oak tannins, and a little carbonation, which stabilises on sweeter notes like honey.
