Madeira Barbeito Sercial 10 years
Description
This Madeira Sercial aged in "Canteiro" for 10 to 14 years in French oak casks. It is excellent as an aperitif and goes well with starters such as duck or goose pâté, onion soup, or octopus salad. It was bottled ready to drink but holds up well after opening.
Very few producers, and especially in Madeira wine, find such a revolution in their history as Barbeito has. To be a supplier of bulk wines and from one moment to the next to become a reference in the Madeira Wine region, is a feat. It all happened in 1991 when Ricardo Freitas joined the family company and decided, together with the Japanese Kinoshita with whom they had joined, to turn Barbeito into one of the most important producers of Madeira Wines.
