This wine is a blend of 19 vintages in which the youngest harvest is at least 20 years old and the oldest is close to 80 years old, resulting in a complex, aromatic, elegant wine with a long finish. Of the annual production of Moscatel de Setúbal, a portion is destined for long aging in used wooden casks, which can be visited at the Adega dos Teares Velhos, in the Casa Museu, in Vila Nogueira de Azeitão.
Moscatel de Setúbal is a fortified wine with a Controlled Designation of Origin (D.O.C.), recognised since 1907. Alambre 20 Years is made from the Moscatel grape variety, which is a type of grape that excels in its fruity, honeyed character with a tropical fruit aroma, differentiating muscat wines from any other type of wine.
