La Gauloise Green Liqueur is a legendary herbal liqueur, with a recipe dating back to when France was still called "La Gaule" and rediscovered in 1783 by Edouard Requier. Produced at the Distillerie du Centre in Limoges, it combines secret ingredients such as angelica, St John’s wort, saffron, cardamom, and genepi, carefully double-distilled over a wood fire, with the addition of fine spirits and sugar syrup. After slow ageing, it results in a complex and balanced liqueur, with intense aroma and refined palate, ideal to enjoy neat or in cocktails.
