Description
This wine acquires its unique characteristics through the parboiling process with subsequent ageing of 3 years in oak barrels before bottling. It is excellent as an aperitif. It was bottled ready to drink but will keep in good condition for several months after opening.
Very few producers, and especially in Madeira Wine, find such a revolution in their history as the one that has happened to Barbeito. To be a supplier of bulk wines and from one moment to the next to become a reference in the Madeira Wine region, is a feat. It all happened in 1991 when Ricardo Freitas joined the family company and decided, together with the Japanese Kinoshita with whom they had joined, to turn Barbeito into one of the most important producers of Madeira Wines.
