Description

Quinta do Estanho Vintage 1990 is a Port wine with an intense and complex profile, produced from grapes grown on the steep schist slopes of the Pinhão River valley and aged in old French oak casks. On the nose, it reveals an intense and enveloping aroma. On the palate, it is full-bodied and robust, with well-integrated tannins and a long, lingering finish.

Quinta do Estanho is mentioned in the first ‘De Feitoria’ wine demarcation, dating from 1757. It is situated on the left bank of the River Pinhão at an average altitude of 300 metres and has been producing quality wines for several generations. Its owner, Jaime Acácio Queiroz Cardoso, became the second producer, bottler and exporter in the entire Douro region in 1987, selling his wines directly to the portuguese and international markets.
