Description

Fonseca is part of the first category of wine producers in the Vintage Port since the middle of the 19th century. The Fonseca Vintage Port wines are known for their exuberant fruity that develops great opulence and complexity with age. Their wines appeal to the enthusiast and connoisseur, perhaps more than the Vintage Ports of any other house because they are an inspired production and a deep knowledge of viticulture and terroir. Only in exceptional years, Fonseca declares a classic Vintage Port. Only the finest wines, selected for their great potential for depth, depth and ageing are bottled and labelled as Vintage. It has a purple and opaque colour with wonderful aromas of spices, floral (violets) and black fruit - all wrapped in a delicious complexity. Full-bodied with elegant tannins and very expressive fruit. Fresh finish that lingers nicely. Still closed, this Vintage promises a wonderful and delicate evolution. A wise combination of strength, power and elegance.
