Quinta dos Carvalhais white Especial white (bottled in 2023)

This Special White from Quinta dos Carvalhais is a sublime wine that recovers the Dão tradition of bottling white wines aged in wood at a later date. Produced from a blend of the best harvests of the Encruzado, Gouveio and Sémillon grape varieties, it was aged for many years in oak barrels and vats, giving rise to a complex wine that reveals aromas of gunpowder, truffles, honey and dried fruit.

Sogrape Vinhos was founded in 1942 by Fernando van Zeller Guedes, with the ambition of making Portuguese wines known to the world and a long-term vision based on the quality of the wines to be marketed, the importance of the novelty of the brands, and the presentation of its wines.
