Redbreast Moscatel Wine Cask Edition
Description
Redbreast Moscatel Wine Cask Edition is a limited-edition Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey and the fifth release in the Iberian Series. Initially matured in ex-American whiskey and Spanish Oloroso sherry casks, it is then finished in Moscatel-seasoned oak hogsheads from Málaga, bringing a distinctive Mediterranean influence.
Vibrant citrus, floral honey and sweet fruit are complemented by vanilla, toffee and warming spices. Rich and textured on the palate, with pear, lime, green apple and honey, it delivers a long, lingering finish where pot still spices and wine-seasoned oak remain until the very end.
Since 1825 the distillery has produced a wide range of brands and in 1966 the company joined with John Powers and John Jameson to form the well-known group: Irish Distillers. With this project, a new distillery was built in Midleton to produce all the brands involved. Leaving the old distillery in Midleton as a cultural space.
