Rubens Menin Very Very Old Tawny Port 50cl
Description
Rubens Menin Very Very Old Tawny Port is a truly exceptional wine, sourced from vineyards planted in the mid-19th century, prior to phylloxera, and produced in a highly limited edition of just 200 bottles (50cl). It is crafted from a rare blend of historic Douro grape varieties such as Malvasia Preta, Donzelinho Tinto, Cornifesto and Casculho, carefully preserved and aged in wood over decades.
It displays a deep amber colour with greenish reflections, reflecting its remarkable ageing. The nose is highly complex, revealing layers of aged honey, resin, dried leaves, spices and subtle iodised notes.
On the palate, it is concentrated and elegant, with a rich texture, remarkable freshness and an exceptionally long, persistent finish. A rare and profound Port that embodies the memory, identity and continuity of the Douro.
