The history of Madeira Wine begins shortly after the discovery of the island from which it takes its name, there being records of the first productions and exports, 25 years after its discovery.

The unique soil and climate of Madeira Island, as well as the production process and grape varieties cultivated, have contributed to the unrivalled distinction of Madeira Wine over the ages.

Wine Spirit is a drink of high alcoholic content, made from the process of distillation of wine. This process is similar to the Cognac, where it is subsequently aged in oak barrels, which gives it a yellowish colour, and a characteristic flavour and aroma.
On the Portuguese wine scene, there is no more consensual producer than Niepoort, and the long history begins in 1842 with the first Van Der Niepoort arriving in Portugal.

James Martin's & Co Ltd has over 130 years of experience. The whiskies that constitute James Martin's have been selected from all over Scotland and left to age for years. Produced in Scotland, it is a whisky with a smooth palate and light notes of orange peel and vanilla, followed by an aroma of varied flowers.

Júlio Bastos created this wine in honour of his father, Júlio Bandeira Bastos. It is opaque and violet in colour, with pure aromas of china ink, liquorice, notes of wild berries and balsamic. The palate is very broad, dense and silky, with ripe, round tannins.
