Description

Basape Reserva is produced from the Tempranillo grape variety and aged 36 months in barrels, only being released to the market after a minimum of 2 years in the bottle. Thus, this is a wine that is dark ruby with bricky nuances, very aromatic, balanced, and tasty. This is a classic Rioja Alta reserve, where the vanilla of the wood is combined with the fruitiness of the Tempranillo grape, and with an important overall acidity that keeps the wine fresh and lively, and that will allow it to evolve, positively, in the bottle for a long time.

Luis Marín Díez founded his company in 1970 to continue a family tradition in the wine sector, passed down from father to son for several generations. Initially focused on wine bottling and distribution services, it was in 1991 that Luis Marín invested in his second winery, located in the heart of La Rioja, and began producing wines that, to this day, maintain the character of small-scale and artisanal production.
