Following the 1914 war, Pierre Lagardère acquired 1 ha of vines in the Maillet sector of Pomerol, where his grandsons and great-grandsons, Jean-Claude and Gaël, subsequently went on to manage a 17-hectare vineyard in Montagne and 2 hectares in Pomerol. This wine inherited all the qualities of the only Merlot planted on 1 hectare of clay-limestone soil. The opulent aromas of red fruit, enhanced by delicate woody notes, allow a full and harmonious finish.
