Description

Quinta do Banco red wine is produced from the Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz and Sousão grape varieties, where about 80% of the blend ages in stainless steel tanks and the remaining 20% in French oak barrels. In tasting, the aromas of ripe red fruits with hints of spice stand out, finishing smoothly given its rounded tannins.

The first references to Quinta das Cabanas date back to the 18th century, having been involved in the Companhia Geral da Agricultura das Vinhas do Alto Douro, where the milestone no. 18 of the Pombaline Demarcations of 1756 was placed. Currently, the owning family has also acquired other properties, located in the Sub-Região do Baixo Corgo, totalling around 90 hectares with vineyards aged between 25 and 35 years, planted with indigenous grape varieties.
