Description

Sociedade Agrícola da Sossega, the owner of Monte do Pintor, was founded in 1991 and its main objective is the production and commercialisation of wines. In 1995 the commercialisation of a regional wine from Alentejo began with the brand Monte do Pintor. The vineyards are located on gentle south-facing slopes in soils defined by a distinctive terroir. The traditional Alentejo red grape varieties Trincadeira and Aragonez as well as Castelão, Alfrocheiro, Tinta Caiada, Alicante, Moreto and the white varieties Verdelho, Arinto and Antão Vaz predominate.
