2019 Vineadouro Reserva red

Vineadouro Reserva red wine is produced from the blend of traditional Douro grape varieties, among which Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz and Touriga Franca stand out, combined with other varieties from the old vineyards of the property. After aging for about 12 months in French oak barrels, it has an intense ruby colour with aromas marked by blackberry, black cherry and slight vegetal notes. In the mouth, it reveals impressions of barrel aromas well integrated with the fruit, making this wine of excellent acidity, structured and with a spicy profile, suitable for traditional Portuguese gastronomy.

The Quinta da Vineadouro is a secular property of unique characteristics in the Douro Superior region. Located between the historic Castelo de Numão and the sublimated Douro by the writer Miguel Torga is a space of tranquility and stunning scenery. Belonging to the same family since the 18th century, the current heirs, relatives, and descendants: Cristina, Carlos, Teresa, Joana, Filipa, Inês, and Diogo represent two of the generations associated with the destinies of this estate. Since 2014, the family's passion and dedication have led to the restoration of all the farm's rustic buildings, as well as the requalification of the entire outdoor space, which includes vineyards, olive groves, almond trees, and forest. In 2020, wine production will resume and the Vineadouro brand will be launched.
