Description

Casa Yagüe Sauvignon Blanc is a white wine from Trevelin in Argentine Patagonia, one of the world’s southernmost wine-growing regions. Made exclusively from Sauvignon Blanc grown in the estate’s own vineyards under organic and sustainable principles, it comes from an extremely cold terroir at around 330 metres above sea level, marked by significant diurnal temperature variation and sandy loam soils of fluvial origin.

Vinification includes 12 hours of cold maceration, followed by temperature-controlled fermentation, predominantly in stainless steel, with a small portion fermented in French oak. The cool-climate conditions preserve vibrant natural acidity and a precise, fresh and mineral expression with a distinctly fruity character.

On the palate, it is elegant, fresh and mineral, with good definition and lively acidity that carries the wine through to a persistent finish. A distinctive Sauvignon Blanc that conveys the southern identity of Trevelin and the influence of an extreme terroir.
