José Manuel Bento dos Santos is Industrial Chemical Engineer from Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), Lisbon, Portugal, since 1970. Since early in its life it was clear his deep interest in the sense of taste. Dedicated to the cult of gastronomy, cooking and applied his knowledge to discover the perfect harmony between wine and food. In its continuous travel, José Manuel Bento had the opportunity to attend the most famous restaurants, to contact and practice with great chefs from around the world. At the same time, we had the privilege to know and taste the most exquisite wines. He began his wine collection for over 30 years, actively participating in auctions Christie's or Sotheby's and also through direct contact with some of the most recognized global producers.
