Description
The Confuron, Yves, Jean-Pierre and the Patriarch Jacky are the present generations of a very old family in Burgundy, including mentions to this family in the court of Louis XIV. The Domaine is directed by Yves and Jean Pierre, though the soul of this is Yves, who shares his time with the Domaine de Courcel in Pommard. The family is close enough and Father Jacky always gives a helping hand when he can. There are several predicates that make this producer special. First of all the fact that unlike most burgundy producers, Yves harvests much later, hoping that the Pinot Noir is well matured, and when it is received, vintage with 100% stinking, looking for freshness and finesse. Second, a purist line of thought, without interventions that damage vineyards or grapes, associated with almost obsessive rigor. The result is great wines, which may initially seem "too" greedy, but with half a dozen years become masterful. As a curiosity, and as no other family has this honor, there is a variety of Pinot Noir in Burgundy, which is called Pinot Confuron.
